Generally speaking, when news of a Hollywood break up surfaces, it’s fair to say that shock waves usually aren’t being felt throughout the Universe. Still in this case, the significant age difference with the FEMALE being the 15-16 year senior begs the question as to whether this aspect played any part?

I, for one am left wondering if even an uncommonly attractive woman in a relationship with a younger man where the age gap is this significant, and so is the fame, are likely to make it? In this age of Scarlett Johansson (and even Heidi Montag)- has society groomed men to be obsessed with youthful beauty, or can love and attraction be lasting if the connection is strong enough? Are women naturally doomed as they age if in relationships w/younger (and especially high-profile) men? Even in ordinary circles, can the average younger guy stay fulfilled and committed for the long haul with a woman in her 40s, 50s and beyond, (as younger WOMEN in these May/December relationships seemingly can) or are societal pressures and men in today’s world just too great, and too shallow?
